Method
How I work. Four phases. No surprises.
Fractional management only works when it's structured. No open-ended consulting, no indefinite mandates. Every engagement follows the same four phase method, with declared goals from day one and reviews on a fixed cadence.
1. Discovery · 2 weeks
Two weeks of real analysis. Interviews with the executive team, reading the numbers, mapping processes, evaluating strategy. At the end, a document with diagnosis, priorities and proposed goals for the first 90 days. Paid discovery, fixed fee.
2. Mandate · chosen together
After discovery we decide together whether and how to continue. Typical mandate is 6-12 months, two or three days a week. Explicit quarterly goals, monthly review with the owners, early exit possible with 30 days notice.
3. Execution · daily
In execution I'm not a consultant. I'm part of the executive team. I sign decisions, hire people, run operational meetings, own the forecast, speak with customers, banks or investors. The owners keep strategic control, I run the operations.
- Operating cadence: weekly with the team, monthly with owners, quarterly with the board.
- Declared KPIs monitored via shared dashboards.
- Recruiting and onboarding of key roles.
- Selection and coordination of external vendors.
4. Handover · planned
Every mandate has an exit date. The goal of the final phase is to prepare an in-house manager or successor to continue without me. Documentation, training, gradual transition. Success is also measured by how well the company keeps running after the handover.
